Chef Caleb Hodson is the Commercial Hotel’s secret weapon in the kitchen and he loves pouring some creative energy into a special menu.
The recently renovated historic pub is loved for its excellent steaks, hearty portions and daily specials.
For Flavours of Ipswich, Chef Caleb is doing a couple of crowd pleasers that are simply stunning … an entrée of pork belly sitting atop a bed of creamy polenta with a pea, sherry and asparagus salsa. And a main of meltingly tender slow-cooked beef cheek with chat mash and asparagus – we’re loving that crystal ice plant garnish as well!
Dine in the new bistro area at the rear or pull up a pew on the wide front deck. The Commercial also offers regular live music and special events so stay tuned on their social media channels.
