One of Springfield’s newest cafes is luring crowds with its cooked-from-scratch offerings.
The Cafe Kalina overlooks an adventure playground, in the newly emerging Kalina Springfield estate, making this spot a popular one for those with littlies.
Owner Che Fell is no stranger to the cafe scene and has happily poured his heart and know-how into his latest venture. The cafe was luring visitors from Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Ipswich within weeks of opening. “We opened at 8 on Saturday and had 80 people here by 8.15,” he said, of one recent weekend.
Part of Cafe Kalina’s allure is the hearty breakfast menu – including an eggs benny with lemon-y Hollandaise, pesto and spicy chorizo.
Fell caters for all kinds of diets with a range of sweet and savoury offerings he makes himself for the cabinet.
Seating extends over a large undercover deck, and the cafe has hosted baby showers, corporate morning tea functions and high teas.
This is also a dog-friendly cafe, with puppy-cinos and special beetroot, turmeric and peanut butter doggie treats available.
They’re using Brisbane-roasted Veneziano coffee and the Nutella Latte is highly recommended if you need a little lift – or a cool Instagram shot!
