To ease into this feel-good day, we’re setting up a brunch picnic at Spring Lake Park. You can spend as little or as much on this as you like, but rest assured, the lawn area is quite lovely to sit on. There are a number of delightful coffee shops to choose from that are a short walk away, including Moselle’s, Mocha Grande, and Remedy Espresso—all fine choices. Take in the tranquil surroundings of Spring Lake; the ripples across the lake, birds singing as the trees whisper in the wind. It’s quite a nice way to enjoy your morning caffeine hit.
Need to put this into your GPS? Spring Lake Park, 55 Burlington Terrace, Springfield Lakes.
The indulgence continues at Novafit, a health and wellness centre that will take you by pleasant surprise. Lisa specialises in unique services including Buccal Facial, Brazilian Lymphatic Massage, and Hydra Facials. Depending on how you’re feeling, you won’t leave unhappy after any of Lisa’s beauty or massage services. I personally rate the buccal facial. It’s unusual at first, but as a self-confessed chatterbox, I felt less stressed and rejuvenated.
This specialised facial massage targets the muscles and tissues in your neck, face, and upper chest. It uses unique techniques, both inside and outside your mouth, to release deep tension and stress that can contribute to wrinkles and sagging. Meghan Markle has quoted on several occasions that buccal is the reason for her defined cheekbones… if it’s good enough for a television star turned princess, it’s good enough for me!
If golf is your thing, the award-winning Greg Norman-designed public access golf course at the Brookwater Golf and Country Club is your next stop. This fabulously manicured nine-hole golf course will certainly keep you occupied for hours.
Not a golfer? That’s okay. Hopefully, you’ve planned to treat yourself to a Springfield adventure on the first Sunday of the month. This happens to be the same day as the Springfield Markets in Robelle Domain. These markets are designed for meandering, pursuing, and taking your time. You’re guaranteed to find something you didn’t know you needed, as these stalls have been carefully selected to provide a wide variety of unique treasures. By now you’re probably feeling a bit peckish. Don’t worry, the Springfield Markets are on until 2pm, and there are a number of food trucks at this market to choose from.
If, for some reason, you’re still not 100% sure about what to eat, a (very) short walk through Robelle Domain will lead you to Orion Shopping Centre, which has more than 20 food options to choose from. The most stressful part of your day is choosing what to eat! I highly recommend Kitchen 66 if you’re planning to eat at Orion, or Mr Tokyo Dog if you’re sticking by the Springfield Markets in Robelle Domain.
